Who this is built for
Service firms and contractors that bill after delivery. Contractors, agencies and consultants use it at intake, and client monitoring alerts you when an account with open invoices changes.
A customer credit check before net 30 tells you whether a new business will pay the invoice you are about to finance. Enter the customer's website, and ClientVetter returns a 0 to 100 score, the sourced reasons behind it and suggested terms in about a minute. Starter is $49 a month for 25 checks.

Net 30 is a loan. You deliver the work or the goods, pay your own people and suppliers, and wait a month for the customer to pay. If they never do, the cost is the full invoice plus the time you spend chasing it, and on a $9,000 job that can be a quarter of your monthly profit.
Most small businesses extend terms because the customer asked and the sale felt friendly. A check changes that into a decision. A clean result supports net 30. A thin or flagged one is a reason to offer net 15, take 50 percent up front or ask for card on file.
A bureau file shows payment history with suppliers that report to the bureau. New and small customers often have none. These are the signals that still exist for them.
| Signal | What it tells you before net 30 |
|---|---|
| State registry standing | The legal entity exists, is active and how long it has been registered |
| Domain age, website and mail records | Whether the business behind the site looks established or was created last month |
| Public disputes and sanctions screening | Court or complaint history and watch list matches that change your decision |
| Member non-payment reports | Whether other vendors reported unpaid invoices, with the evidence and the company's reply |
| Score and suggested terms | A 0 to 100 score with sourced reasons and a deposit or shorter terms suggestion |
The score does not decide for you. It gives you a starting point you can defend to the customer and to your own finance person.
| Result | Typical terms to offer |
|---|---|
| Established entity, clean record | Net 30 with a normal credit limit |
| New entity or very new domain | Deposit of 25 to 50 percent, net 15 on the balance |
| Disputes or member non-payment reports | Prepay or card on file, or decline the order |
| Sanctions list match | Stop and get advice before any sale |
These are common practice, not legal advice. Bureau reports cost $59.95 to $189.99 per company, so a plan pays for itself at the second or third customer. See the cost of a business credit report and the full pricing page.
Paste the customer's website into the check at the top of this page when the credit application or quote request arrives.
Read the score and each sourced reason, then open any member report to see the evidence behind it.
Set net 30, a deposit or prepay on the quote, save the PDF to the account file and turn on monitoring for active accounts.

For a very large order on long terms, or when a lender or credit insurer asks, buy a bureau report on that one company. Compare options on the Dun and Bradstreet alternative page. Use the check on every other customer.
Yes, before the first invoice. Net 30 means you finance the customer for a month, so you carry their risk. A check of registry standing, disputes, sanctions and non-payment reports takes about a minute and tells you whether to offer net 30, ask for a deposit or require payment up front.
Enter the customer's website in ClientVetter. It reads the state registry, domain age, public disputes, sanctions lists and member non-payment reports, then returns a 0 to 100 score with sourced reasons and suggested terms. You do not need the legal name or tax ID to start.
A bureau report on one company costs $59.95 to $189.99. ClientVetter Starter is $49 a month for 25 checks, about $2 a customer at full use. Team is $129 for 120 checks and Agency is $299 for 400. Yearly billing is half the monthly price.
No. ClientVetter reads public business records and member reports instead of pulling a bureau credit file, so nothing is added to the customer's file and they are not notified. The FCRA notice explains the permitted scope: business customers only.
Many small private companies have a thin or empty bureau file. That alone is not a reason to refuse. Look at how old the entity and domain are, whether disputes exist, and offer a smaller credit limit or a deposit until they have paid two or three invoices on time.
